Commerce is one of the oldest and largest departments of Khalisani Mahavidyalaya and has been instrumental in spreading college education to a large number of families where nobody ever went to a college. Students of this department always had a high success rate in the final examination. The faculty includes four full-time teachers, namely, Chapalkanti Dharchaudhuri (CDC), Arun Kumar Koley (AK), Debashis Dassharma (DDS) and Uday Krishna Mitra (UM). Prof. Dassharma deserves special mention being the first alumnus to join his alma mater as a faculty member.
