Vishaka Guidelines

The Vishaka Guidelines were a set of procedural guidelines for use in India in cases of sexual harassment. They were promulgated by the Indian Supreme Court in 1997 and were superseded in 2013 by The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

This is a checklist enumerating the responsibilities of employers under the Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The checklist can be used by employers to quickly check whether an organization is compliant with anti-sexual harassment law in India. Each entry has been kept brief for quick reference - wherever necessary, it is advised to refer to the modules under the toolkit to access detailed explanations of how one can comply with the law effectively.
